Stabilized Boxelder Burl Bottle Stopper Turning Blocks
Color stabilized boxelder burl produce
some of the most beautiful stoppers imaginable. Each
block comes out different as the hardness and/or softness of
the wood produces multiple effects. To order click on the links below.
Precautions to be observed when turning any acrylic:
Use very sharp
tools while turning and take light cuts.
Wear face and eye
protection and keep observers away from the turning
area.
DO NOT turn at
excessive speeds.
Ten new Berea
Hardwoods bottle stopper blocks that are absolutely
gorgeous! These blocks measure
1 3/8" x 1 3/8" x 2 1/2" long, turn very easily using light
cuts & sharp tools and polish to a glass-like luster.
One unique aspect of these blocks is that you are able to
create matching pens from the same material as the stopper!
This combination makes a great gift idea.
Mounting the blocks on a mandrel is best achieved by
drilling and then tapping the hole for the proper threads
engagement.

of these Berea Hardwoods stoppers & Baron pens were turned and photographed
