Barry
Gross started BG Artforms in 1998 and it has
grown steadily over the past 14 years supplying
pen making and turning supplies to the major
wood working outlets in the US and abroad. He
has published 5 books on turning and pen making,
has written over 50 articles for various wood
working magazines, created two DVD's and
demonstrates at wood working shows throughout
the US. He has demonstrated at the national AAW
Symposium and for the past several years teaches
pen making at Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts.
In 2010 he received a readers
choice award from Pen World magazine for his
"Tempus" watch pieces pen. This year 2012 he was
a double finalist for the prestigious Niche
Awards in the eco-friendly and mixed media
categories. He has made pens for the White
House and several prominent dignitaries.
On August
1, 2012 Bill Baumback sold Arizona Silhouette to
Barry Gross and BG Artforms LLC. Bill did
a wonderful job creating this company and it is
my belief that with my experience in the wood
working market and the solid foundation Bill
created Arizona Silhouette will only get
stronger! In the coming months the pen
line will be expanded with new products and pen
kits. But for now, I want to continue with
the solid performing products from Berea
Hardwoods and concentrate on extending the good
service Arizona Silhouette has richly deserved!
